The organization hosts the awards dinner each year to honor individuals and companies in fashion and retail whose achievements, charitable activities and records of outstanding service set industry standards.
This year all benefits go to, K.I.D.S. (Kids in Distressed Situations) and Fashion Delivers, two central charities of the apparel industry, who, together, have distributed more than half a billion dollars worth of new merchandise to children and families in crisis nationally and internationally.
This year looks to be a star-studded event with supermodel and humanitarian, Alek Wek as the Spirit of a Woman award recipient, Badgley Mischka as the Designer of the year, with , CEO and icon, Iman to present to Alek Wek and other celebrities and New York socials like David Bowie, Teri Hatcher, and more. In addition to Mark Badgley and James Mischka, you will also share the evening with Mackey McDonald who will accept the Excellence in Lifestyle Branding award on behalf of VF Corporation; and McKay Belk, who will receive the Retailer of the Year award on behalf of Belk Stores, Inc; as well as Marvin Traub, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement award presented by Michael Gould of Bloomingdale’s- all coming together to improve the lives of thousands of needy children and their families.
