The Young New Yorkers for the Philharmonic, Summer Soirée
06/25/2008 - By Bryant Park Grill
Carrie Mehwa and Adam Aloi
On June 25, 2008, the Young New Yorkers enjoyed their annual summer benefit, Summer Soirée. The evening began with a cocktail reception at Tiffany & Co., where guests mingled and tried on jewelry.
Following cocktails was a dinner-dance at Bryant Park Grill, where guests dined indoors and out under the stars. 285 Young New Yorkers attended the evening and raised approximately $90,000. The evening was made possible by generous support from the Thomas C. Quick Charitable Foundation.
The Young New Yorkers for the Philharmonic is comprised of people ages 21-40 who appreciate and support the New York Philharmonic and symphonic music. The Young New Yorkers enjoy unique opportunities to attend concerts as well as social and educational events in the company of friends and support one of the city's most valuable cultural resources. Founded in 1994, the group includes over 4,000 members. We hope that many, if not all, will develop long-term relationships with the Philharmonic as subscribers, patrons and volunteers.
