Family #1 is currently residing in a crisis shelter due to extensive physical violence. The mother is due to give birth to a baby boy on November 26th. They will have to enter the homeless shelter system because of limited employment and housing options. Despite the multiple challenges this family faces, they are a bright, caring, and lively family and are looking forward to welcoming the new baby into a violence-free environment.

Family #2- Lois is a single mother of 8 children struggling to find work. Two of the eight children are her own. She took in 2 children from her cousin who was unfit to care for them and just recently she adopted her sister’s 4 children. Her sister was shot in the face by her boyfriend who then shot himself. Lois is a woman with a big heart and with 8 kids, there’s never enough.
