On December 6th, Music Mogul Russell Simmons was in Miami, hosting a shopping event/fundraiser at Jackie Abraham Jewelers for his arts education non-profit RUSH Philanthropic.
Co-Hosted by Allison & Chip Brady, Diane N. Weiss & Jill Viner (co-owner of the Florida Panthers), guests shopped, sipped on cocktails courtesy of Ciroc, NUVO Pink Champagne and Tasmanian Rain sparkling water. The “who’s who” host committee included Allison Zhuk, DR. Julio Gallo, Sarah Arison, Dr. Anthony Japour & Jillian Jacobson-Altit. Other guests included Morgans Hotel Group CEO Fred Kleisner, his wife Johnna, and daughter Heather, Javier Evans, Tangie Murray, and even more socialites-on-the scene including Erin Newberg, Suzanne Dewitt, Amy Rosenberg, and Zurami Pascual. Jackie Abraham Jewelers donated 20% of all proceeds for the week to RUSH, raising $16,500 for the organization.
RUSH Philanthropic was founded in 1995 by brothers Danny, Joseph and Russell Simmons, providing disadvantaged youth with significant exposure to arts and education as well as providing exhibition opportunities for under represented artists.
