Stand Up for Heroes: A Benefit for the Bob Woodruff Foundation

The Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) and The New York Comedy Festival(NYCF) united for the third consecutive year to present Stand Up for Heroes: A Benefit for the Bob Woodruff Foundation.

Performers and other A-list entertainers agreed to Stand Up for Heroes and ReMIND our nation that "Support our troops" is no longer a slogan. It's an action.

Stand Up for Heroes is a night of comedy to benefit the Bob Woodruff Foundation. This year, the event honored more than fifty military families from across the country that represent the 1.9 million who have deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq since 9/11. BWF has raised over six million dollars used to increase awareness and invest in programs throughout the country that are empowering local communities to take action to assist service members and their families reintegrate home.

President Barack Obama, President George W. Bush, President George H. W. Bush, President Jimmy E. Carter, and President William J. Clinton will serve as the Presidential Committee for this year's event.
