The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for Huntington’s Disease while providing support and services. Huntington’s Disease (HD) is a hereditary, progressively degenerative fatal brain disorder that destroys one’s physical control and mental capacity over a period of 10-15 years. HD takes away an individual’s ability to walk, speak and reason. Currently, one in 10,000 Americans, including 5,000 children between the ages of six months and 18 years, have already been diagnosed.
