Hillel’s Renaissance Award honors those individuals whose bold vision and ground-breaking initiatives enrich the campus, the Jewish community and the world. Leslie H. Wexner exemplifies the concept of Renaissance. His leadership positively and profoundly impacts the lives of college students, the State of Israel and the global Jewish people.

Hillel is proud to present its Renaissance Award to Leslie H. Wexner, founder, chairman and CEO of Limited Brands, Inc. Mr. Wexner has infused his personal commitment to excellence, leadership and community service throughout his business and philanthropic endeavors. As the force behind the Wexner Heritage Program, the Wexner Graduate Fellowship Program, and the Wexner Israel Fellowship Program, he has helped to create cadres of effective, passionate Jewish volunteer, professional, and government leaders in North America and Israel. In addition, Mr. Wexner has played a central leadership role in the development of Harvard University's Center for Public Leadership, which was launched in 2000 through a grant from The Wexner Foundation. Mr. Wexner, a member of Hillel's International Board of Governors, has provided critical support and counsel to Hillel as it has transformed itself to better serve students. He was the principal benefactor of the Wexner Jewish Student Center at The Ohio State University, built in 1996, and he remains an active supporter. Mr. Wexner is an inspiration and a role model for Jewish students around the world.
