The TALL CLUB of the Palm Beaches is hosting a Prospect Party at the John D. MacArthur Beach State Park. We will have a pavillion available for a free picnic for qualifying prospects. Qualifying prospects will meet the height requirements of 5'-10" for women and 6'-2" for men and the age requirement of 21+ years of age. The guests of Prospects and Members are also welcome for a small fee of $5.00/pp. The fee for members of TCI is $10/pp refunded by $2/pp for each prospect you bring along.
There are many activities that will be available throughout the day. Bill Rich, and other musicians, bring their foot-stompin' and hand-clappin' bluegrass music to the Park's Amphitheater. Just sit back and enjoy the music in Palm Beach County's most beautiful setting. You can swim, picnic to your heart's content, and surf at the beach; scuba diving and snorkeling are also available. Birdwatchers can see herons, brown pelicans, terns, sandpipers, and gulls. Anglers can fish in the lagoon by wading, kayaking, or canoeing. In addition, there are guided kayak tours available, nature walks, nature rides, games, and animal feeding. There will also be a 50/50 raffle drawing towards the end of the day.
The park is a unique mixture of coastal and tropical hammock and mangrove forest, this barrier island provides a haven for several rare or endangered native tropical and coastal plant species. The park's Nature Center shows visitors why the park is a biological treasure.
You are welcome to arrive when the park opens at 8:00 or when the majority of people will arrive at 11:00am. The park is open until sundown. You are free to leave as you like, but we hope you will stay as long as possible. Don't forget your swimsuits and suntan lotion.
The state park requires a small entrance fee of $4.00 per car load.
